TRANSPE SPA is a road haulage operator belonging to the Autosped G Group, in the oil sector.
The company was founded in 1978 as Transpe S.A.S. di Grattone Giancarlo & C. and first operated in oil product transport, specialising in LPG (liquefied petroleum gas).
That same year, it acquired the F.lli Trento road haulage operator, which also operated in the LPG transport sector, with 6 of its own vehicles. In 1979, the company become an Srl, and in 1989, its company name was changed to Autotrasporti Transpe.
Throughout the 1980s and 90s, the company expanded its vehicle fleet, responding to the market need for more and more LPG transport.
In 1999, unmanned aerial work platforms for hire were introduced. This activity is now carried out with 8 platforms plus 1 tilting lorry for hire.
In 2003, the company became Transpe S.p.A., and it joined the Autosped G Group, Transport and Logistics Business Unit of the Gavio Group, which acquired a majority holding through G&A S.p.A. That year, 17 vehicles were used.
In subsequent years the company saw progressive growth in its turnover and vehicle fleet, plus the acquisition of new customers and diversification of activities offered in the gas sector, also including distribution of LPG for automotive transport at roadside service stations.
In 2018, the company began investing in cryogenic semi-trailers to transport LNG (liquefied natural gas), a sector considered to be in particular growth.
The company is one of the leading LPG industry operators in Italy.
